Overview

Upload important documents for all members to view while using a web browser.

By default, all team members and admins can upload photos and documents to the team. This is a setting that a team admin can disable when creating the team or editing the team settings.

If the member setting is disabled, all team members can view documents, but only team admins and members with the Document Manager permission can upload/remove documents.

Manage who can upload documents

By default, all team members and admins can upload photos and documents to the team. An admin can disable this feature while creating the team or editing the team settings.

Using a web browser

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your team page
  • Click on the settings cog icon under the team name (towards the left of the page)
  • Click 'Edit team'
  • Select/deselect 'Allow all team members to upload photos and documents'
  • Click 'Update team'

Upload a document

Using a web browser

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your team page
  • Click 'Docs'
  • Click 'Upload ^'
  • Click 'Create new event'
  • Enter the document details; title and description
  • Select a file from your device
  • Click 'Upload Document'

The document will appear on the Docs section of the team's webpage.

While uploading the document, you can elect to notify members. If selected, all team members will receive an email.

Please note:

  • Currently, the Docs section shows on the team's webpage only. There isn't a Docs section on the Teamer mobile app.
  • If you don't see the option to upload a document, it relates to your roles with the team, and the team's settings. We advise that you contact an admin of the team directly for assistance.

View a document

Documents uploaded to the team's webpage can be viewed by all team members.

Using a web browser

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your team page
  • Click 'Docs'
  • Locate the document you wish to view and click on the document name
  • Click 'Download' in the overlay

The document should be downloaded within your browser to view on your device.

Please note:

  • Currently, the Docs section shows on the team's webpage only. There isn't a Docs section on the Teamer mobile app.

Delete a document

Remove documents that are no longer needed by the team.

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your team page
  • Click 'Docs'
  • Locate the document you wish to view
  • Click the bin icon
  • Click 'OK' to confirm you wish to remove the document

Please note:

  • Once a document has been removed from Teamer, it cannot be restored. The document should only be removed from Teamer if it's no longer needed by the team.
  • The admin may wish to download the document before removing it from Teamer.

Troubleshooting

This section covers common troubleshooting queries:

  • I don't see the option to upload a document.
    • By default, all team members and admins can upload photos and documents to the team. An admin can disable this setting while creating/editing the team.
    • If the setting is disabled, only team admins and members with the Document Manager permission can upload new documents to the team.
    • We advise that you contact an admin of the team directly for assistance.
  • I see the option to upload a document, but the document will not upload.
    • The Teamer software supports lots of document types, such as PDFs, Word documents, and spreadsheets. If you are struggling to upload the document, try resaving the file on your device, and try using a different browser, device, and/or network connection.
    • Ask another team member/admin to see if they can upload the document on your behalf.
    • If the issue persists, please contact our Support Team directly for assistance.
  • No option to view/upload a document using the Teamer mobile app.
    • Currently, the Docs section shows on the team's webpage only. There isn't a Docs section on the Teamer mobile app.
