Overview

Teamer has supported teams and clubs for many years, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has used the platform during that time.

After careful consideration, we have regrettably concluded that we are unable to make the level of long-term investment required to continue operating Teamer sustainably. We have therefore made the difficult decision to close the platform.

We understand this news may be disappointing and disruptive, particularly for teams that have relied on Teamer for a long time. We are committed to providing clear notice, explaining the steps users need to take and offering guidance to help teams move to an alternative platform before Teamer closes.

 

FAQs - all users

Why is Teamer closing?

We are choosing to focus on our Pitchero and PitcheroGPS platforms going forward. Teamer no longer fits our long term strategy.

When will Teamer officially close?

The Teamer platform will be closed on Monday 5th October 2026. User accounts and teams/clubs will no longer be available to use.

All users have been contacted via email on Wednesday 5th August 2026.

How long will I be able to access my Teamer account?

All users have access to Teamer until Monday 5th October 2026.

Do I need to take any action now?

No action is required immediately. Users and team can continue using Teamer until Monday 5th October 2026.

FAQs - team admins

Will all Teamer features continue to work until the closure date?

Yes, the core Teamer features to manage members, events and payments on Teamer via the mobile app or a web browser. The Teamer platform will then close on Monday 5th October 2026.

Please note:

Prior to the Teamer platform being closed on Monday 5th October, some Teamer features will be removed. These include:

  • New downloads of the Teamer mobile app
  • New user registrations
  • New team creations
  • New payment provider accounts linked

What will happen to my Teamer Premium subscription?

All Teamer Premium subscriptions will be cancelled during September 2026 to prevent further billing into October 2026.

Team Admins can cancel the Teamer Premium subscription at any time using a web browser. Click here for more information.

What will happen to my teams, members, events and messages?

Existing teams and users continue to have use of Teamer until the closure date, Monday 5th October 2026.

After the closure date, team and user data will no longer be accessible.

Will I be able to download or export my team’s information before Teamer closes?

Team information is available to view on the Teamer mobile app and using a web browser. Unfortunately, there are no export tools to make a team's events and members lists portable to a new system.

The admin may wish to contact the new host for advice migrating to their platform from Teamer.

What should I tell my players, parents, coaches and other team members?

Organisers were informed via email on Wednesday 5th August 2026 that the Teamer platform will close on Monday 5th October 2026.

Your team, including players, parents, and coaches, can continue using Teamer as normal until the closure date. If and when you decide to move to a new system, it's up to you as the organiser to let your members know.

Is Pitchero recommending an alternative platform for managing my team?

Teamer is part of the Pitchero Group. The Pitchero Club platform has been supporting grassroots sports clubs since 2007 with tools to manage:

    Does Pitchero support my sport?

    Pitchero directly supports most team-based sports, including; football, rugby union, rugby league, cricket, hockey, netball, and basketball.

    If your sport isn't currently listed on Pitchero, we still recommend Pitchero as the viable option for your sports club, team, or organisation.

    The club and team management tools are included as core features for every Pitchero club.
