Overview
Once you have created an event, you can edit the event details (e.g. if the date, time or location of the event has changed, or if you need to add additional information that is useful for members.
Edit an event
Using the mobile app
Step-by-step-guide:
- Load the mobile app on your phone
- Tap the team (if your account is linked to multiple teams)
- Tap on the event
- Tap the options icon in the top right corner of the screen (3 vertical dots)
- Tap 'Edit'
- Make the event changes/additions
- Tap 'Save' at the bottom of the screen
Using a web browser
Step-by-step-guide:
- Go to your team page
- Click 'Events'
- Locate the event and click 'Edit'
- Make the event changes/additions
- Click 'Save event' at the bottom of the overlay screen
Cancel an event
An upcoming event can only be cancelled if team invites have already been sent to selected members.
Using the mobile app
Step-by-step-guide:
- Load the mobile app on your phone
- Tap the team (if your account is linked to multiple teams)
- Tap on the event
- Tap the options icon in the top right corner of the screen (3 vertical dots)
- Tap 'Cancel'
- Enter a reason why the event is cancelled
- Tap 'Confirm'
Using a web browser
Step-by-step-guide:
- Go to your team page
- Click 'Events'
- Locate the event and click 'Cancel'
- Enter a reason why the event is cancelled
- Click 'Confirm Cancellation'
Team members will be notified that the event has been cancelled.
Troubleshooting
This section covers common troubleshooting queries:
- Unable to cancel an event
- Only team admins of the team or members with the Event Manager permission can cancel a team's event.
- The option to cancel an event will only show if event invites have already been sent to selected members
- I cancelled the event by mistake
- Once an event has been cancelled, it cannot be reinstated.
- If the event is still going ahead, a team admin would need to recreate the event again.
