Set up Teamer Payments

Overview

It's great that you are looking to collect payments online from members using Teamer Payments. Teamer Payments is a secure payment collect tool to collect payments for events and non-events.

Teamer Payments is linked to the payment provider, Stripe. Stripe handles card payments and is available to use in a number of countries. You can check if Stripe is available in your country via the Payments section of your Teamer account, or this Stripe link.

Teamer Payments free to use, with a competitive processing fee per payment collected.

Set up a payment provider account

Step-by-step guide:  

  • Go to teamer.net
  • Log into your account
  • Click the 'Teamer logo'

  • Click 'Switch to Teamer payments'

  • Click 'Let's get started'

  • Enter the required information

  • Click 'Connect with Stripe'

  • Complete the required information on Stripe

You should return to a secure Teamer page confirming the Stripe payment provider account has been associated with your account.

You can now create payment requests and collect payments online from members.

Verification

The payment provider, Stripe, may require some further information to verify the account can collect and receive payments securely online. The information required by Stripe may vary per account type.

From time-to-time, Stripe may ask the account holder to check/update the information is accurate and up-to-date. If the team/account holder does not comply with Stripe's requirements, the ability to collect and/or receive payments may be paused until the verification process has been completed.

Troubleshooting

This section covers common troubleshooting queries:

  • Stripe is not available in your country
    • If your country is listed in the "Global availability" section on this Stripe link, you should be able to use Teamer Payments.
    • This may exclude countries with a tag of "Extended network" or "Invite only"
  • I don't what information to enter to create a Stripe payment provider account
    • Stripe may ask for details of your organisation and what you intend to collect payments for. If you are unsure what information to provide, we would advise that you contact Stripe directly for assistance.

Track completed/incomplete payments 

Step-by-step guide: 

  • Log into your Teamer account
  • Click the 'Teamer logo'

  • Click 'Switch to Teamer payments'

  • You will see an overview of how many members have or haven't paid your payment request
  • Click into the payment request to see which members have paid or not paid

Record a manual payment

Step-by-step guide: 

  • Log into your Teamer account
  • Click the 'Teamer logo'

  • Click 'Switch to Teamer payments'

  • Select the payment request you wish to add a manual payment to
  • Find the member you wish to mark as paid, click the 'Cog' icon
  • Click 'Mark as paid
